It does not have to be your own pool

Plenty of families in here do not have a backyard pool, or have one that is too small to swim a length in. A neighborhood pool, a club pool, a townhome or high-rise pool, or a relative's a few streets over all work. Tell us which one you have access to and we will check it will do before you book anything. We bring the equipment either way.

Pools in here are often older and smaller than the ones out in the master-planned suburbs, and that is not a problem for lessons. Depth and a wall matter more than length, and a child learning in the pool they are actually around all summer is the point of teaching at home.

Scheduling

We are based in here, so this is the area with the most times open and the shortest wait — including the after-school hours that go first everywhere else. If a shared pool has quiet hours or a swim team on the calendar, tell us when they are and we will work around them.

Pricing

Inside the loop and Memorial sit in our city pricing, which is the higher of our two zones. Lessons out in Katy or The Woodlands cost less than the same lesson here.

• 30 minute lessons — $220 a month, four lessons. All ages and skill levels.
• 45 minute lessons — $320 a month, four lessons. Ideal for ages 3 to 7.
• 60 minute lessons — $415 a month, four lessons. Advanced swimmers and adults.

Nothing here asks you to commit to a month before you have seen a lesson. There are no packages and no contracts, so the first one can be booked on its own and you decide after it.
