Katy is full of pools. Most of the master-planned neighborhoods around Cinco Ranch have one, and a good share of houses have their own. That changes the safety question: a child in Katy is not near water twice a week at a scheduled class, they are near water most of the year. A gate and a fence do a lot of the work, and a child who knows what to do in the water does the rest.
That is the case for teaching at your own pool rather than driving to a class. Your child learns in the water they will actually be in — the same depth, the same steps, the same edge they would grab. What they practice on Tuesday is what is behind the back door on Saturday.
Where in Katy we teach
Katy proper and Cinco Ranch, plus the neighborhoods either side of the Grand Parkway. If you have a backyard pool we teach there. If you do not, a neighborhood or community pool works — tell us which one you have access to and we will check it will do. We bring all the equipment either way.
One honest note about scheduling. Katy is a real drive from TayyebiSwims's base in central Houston, so Katy families get clustered into the same afternoons. That means fewer slots out here than in the inner loop, and the ones we have tend to go in blocks. Booking earlier in the week gives you more to choose from.
Pricing
Katy and Cinco Ranch sit in our outer-Houston pricing, which is the lower of the two — a lesson here costs less than the same lesson in Memorial, not more. There is no surcharge for the drive.
- 30 minute lessons — $180 a month, four lessons. All ages and skill levels.
- 45 minute lessons — $262 a month, four lessons. Ideal for ages 3 to 7.
- 60 minute lessons — $340 a month, four lessons. Advanced swimmers and adults.
There are no packages and no contracts. If you would rather see how your swimmer takes to it before committing to a month, book the first lesson on its own and decide after that one.
