What a private lesson adds out here

There is water within walking distance of most homes here, which is one of the best things about The Woodlands — and it means the classes at those pools fill up quickly. A child who needs an extra thirty seconds of reassurance before letting go of the wall does far better when those thirty seconds are simply there for the taking.

That is what a private lesson gives you. Nobody is waiting their turn, nobody is being moved along, and the lesson goes at whatever pace your child is at that day. For a nervous swimmer, having the time is usually what turns a first step into a second one.

Where in The Woodlands we teach

Across the villages, and out toward Creekside and the Shenandoah side. A backyard pool is simplest. If you use a village or neighborhood pool instead, tell us which and we will check the access rules before we book you in — some require a resident present, and it is better to know that in advance than at the gate.

Woodlands families get grouped together on the same run north up I-45, so availability here comes in blocks of afternoons rather than scattered across the week. If a specific day matters to you, say so early.

Pricing

The Woodlands sits in our outer-Houston pricing, the lower of the two bands. Nothing is added for the drive north.

• 30 minute lessons — $180 a month, four lessons. All ages and skill levels.
• 45 minute lessons — $262 a month, four lessons. Ideal for ages 3 to 7.
• 60 minute lessons — $340 a month, four lessons. Advanced swimmers and adults.

There are no packages and no contracts either, so booking the first lesson on its own is a perfectly normal way to start. See how it goes, then settle into a regular monthly slot after that.
